About the region
Florida, the 27th State in the USA is on the east coast and is the southernmost state in the
continental United States. It is bordered to the north of Georgia, in the northwest of Alabama and it is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
Thanks to the climatic and geographical location, Florida is also called the Sunshine State and ideal for beach holidays and water sports of all kinds. Nowhere in the U.S. there are on
average as many sunny days as in Florida.
The climate, the approximately 1,600 kilometers beach and all the attractions attract annually more than 40 million tourists.
Who hears about Orlando, thinks inevitably about Disney World. The various theme parksand family attractions around Mickey & Co. exert such a strong attraction that they dominate the city in every respect: Magic Kingdom, EPCOTCenter, Animal Kingdom and Disney-MGM Studios are themain attractions for which you need at least one day for visiting. In addition, a visit to Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, Sea World, Busch Gard
ens and Wet ’n Wild are worth a visit. From the nearby Kennedy Space Center on the Atlantic-coast space shuttles launch their journeys into space. From here you can see the launch of the spacecraft from the front row.
All parks (like Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Wet n ‚Wild, etc.) that are located in Orlando, can be reached in 10-20 minutes by car. In about 5 minutes by car you reach the centre of Kissimmee and find all sorts of entertainments such as restaurants, supermarkets, shopping malls, etc.
In Kissimmee there is the ability for go-karting, golfing and you can also book flights with
the helicopter. Furthermore dinner shows such as Arabian Nights and Al Capone are offered.
